El Mundo Hispano is designed for people who want to discover the fascinations of Spain and Spanish America while they dramatically improve their reading ability in Spanish.

The starting point is the Contents page. This contains readings from Five Subject Categories:

1. La gente y sus costumbres
2. Geografía, historia y turismo
3. Ciencia, política y negocios
4. Diversiones, humor y deportes
5. Varios

As you go from one article to another in each category, you'll expand your vocabulary, improve your knowledge of Spanish grammar, get lots of information about the Hispanic world, and hear speakers from five regions of that world make the readings come alive.

If you haven't used the program before, click on "Sample," below. This will bring up a page containing the following frames:

Left side of the page: The ARTICLE you want to read.

Right side of the page: The GENERAL HELP LIST:

  • Top right. Displays the TOC (Table of Contents) for THE GENERAL HELP LIST. When you click an item in this frame, information about that feature of the program will appear in the frame below (i.e., bottom right).
  • Bottom right. Displays the GENERAL HELP LIST. You may also use the scrollbar in this frame to familiarize yourself with the features of the program. Note that the Audio Component is described under "Menu Options."

    • Now click > Sample.
