Effective Oral Presentations

This one-day seminar will interest anyone who must communicate orally with large or small groups in professional situations.

Topics include: selecting your subject and approach, locating relevant data, researching your audience, organizing your information and your time, designing effective illustrative materials, preparing the site to your advantage, projecting an image of excellence, and handling questions from the audience.

Group exercises and discussion supplement a lecture on the essential aspects of oral communication. In the course of the seminar, participants give two short talks. Each of these is followed by a critique designed to significantly improve your communication skills.
